BRYTECH implements High Availability (HA) solution for Texas bank that included server consolidation and business resiliency.
bperformed migration of the bank’s legacy IBM server infrastructure to a new IBM server platform and upgraded the tape environment with IBM tape autoloaders. In addition to delivering the hardware upgrade and migration, BRYTECH ported all data from the legacy platform and prepared the systems for day-1 production activities. Lastly, BRYTECH engineered and tested the connectivity between the bank’s primary location in Richardson, TX to the failover location in Fort Worth, TX.
BRYTECH implemented this solution in accordance with best practices from Mimix, the HA software solution, and served as the bank’s trusted technology advisor for the hardware and software migration, “go live” testing, and “failover” support to their Disaster Recovery (DR) site. During this process, BRYTECH decreased the initial failover time from 32 minutes to 9 minutes, and the failback time from 90 minutes to 12 minutes. ALL applications remained online including the ATM’s and the phone banking system.
